We spent a week camped on Carters Lake while we transitioned out of the house and into the 5th wheel. We worked our selves to the max and by weeks end had loaded all keepsakes in the Pack Rat pod, cleaned the house top to bottom for the renters, ...

sticky bodies, we ordered a round of cold beers to cool off and enjoyed the
view. The hike back wasn’t nearly as tough. We walked down grade the entire
time, through shaded forest, which was very pretty. We ...

A travel blog entry by jimhorak on Jul 10, 2014

After looking passively for an RV for years and actively for several months, we found the fifth wheel that we (really) wanted and we worked the deal. We hastily packed preparing for our trip. We already had other appointments scheduled in Georgia so we didn't get out of town until 5 PM. We would tie our purchase into a fun camping trip back home, centered around my NASCAR Experience Package in Charlotte, ...
