      ... along the Mexico border keep your ID / passport to hand in the car, makes border patrol checkpoints a lot easier.

      Air New Zealand were really good, reasonably priced, comfortable, edible food, endless on-demand entertainment, entertaining safety videos, friendly helpful crew. The Skycouch upgrade is worth it if you want to sleep, probably not so if you don't.

      Gas (petrol) is cheap! Certainly compared to England anyway.

      ... but not before exchanging a few dollars. rate was sitting around the 78 cent mark. With full content bellies and a destination before us, we proceeded to the international departures queue. Wow. The line snaked its way past the usual barricades with people overflowing everywhere. Apparently three flights were departing at similar times so customs was packed.       ... It's been a long and wonderful relationship that not only included DIck and us, but also all of the Standens. Sometime we can tell you all about it!

      So, we hit Westchester and stayed with Marty and Nancy, had a delicious dinner of tender beef brisket, mashed potatoes with tasty onion straws baked on top, green beans, and salad topped off with ice cream for dessert. So, nice to catch up on all that has been going on in our lives.

      ... corner of the road to Disneyland. We sussed out the food options, deciding to buy Cornflakes for breakfast, and then headed to a little Mexican place for tea. Nomes ordered beef tacos and I ordered chicken - not before having a lengthy conversation with the older man taking our order who only heard the 'free' part of gluten free, and proceeded to tell us what else we could get with a meal for a super deal!
