    ... the hotel said it was just 500 meters but we off course took the wrong street and it ended up being 1km! Haha. Beer is all we could think about!
    we Check into the hotel have showers and meet Missy, David, Heather and Shar.
    we eat at a restauranr La Rosa dei Venti which was recommended to us by Guiseppe at the hotel.
    11 for dinner which was a feast and it cost €196.

    ... we spent too much time moving and not enough time enjoying.. Sandy described it well, moving every 2-3 days is for tourists, we are travellers.

    So to Rome. Perhaps we should have allocated more than just one day to cover the entire city, however Bea has seen it all before so this is a quick jaunt entirely for my sake. I managed to persuade Bea to crawl out of bed to get the 7:42 train into Rome and maximise our limited time in the capital. It was on our arrival at the station that it all started to go wrong.     ... down town for a lovely Italian meal (what else?), and a drink or two, and it had stopped raining! Had a laugh with our middle-aged waitress who talked Paul into having Pannacotta instead of Tiramisu which is what I had! Privately, I think he regretted that surrender tactic! No will-power!
