... Tour! Another “Oh darn” moment as we knew for sure all the prime window seats would be scooped up by the time we got on board. However, as we approached the bus door we were told to wait for the second bus, then “Oh wait, we have room for two more” - now we knew it would be the back of the bus for sure! For starters, the group yesterday came back with a bad report. The whole group with the exception of 2 girls threw up, everyone got sunburned, tipped their kayaks, or had to switch to be with the guide. We have them every night though, so maybe we'll get to see ...

From the beach to the falls, however, is where things started getting more interesting. We had to cross many rivers. Ben and I are used to river crossings and having to hop from boulder to boulder. The interesting part of this entire leg of the trip was the element of mud made ...

... they are firm believers in leaving the land in a natural state. We did see, only because the pilot pointed it out, their homestead and farm. It is almost hidden on a ridge. There is also a U.S. Navy missile tracking site on the coast that is not so well hidden. Access to the beaches can only be gained by boat. Of note, all beaches in the state are public.

I mentioned the lava flows to the coast. For those of ...
