Sure was good to get home and eat a real breakfast those "FREE" motel breakfasts sure leave a lot to be desired. We did eat some great food and used Trip Adviser Restaurant guide as our way of getting the good ones.

Very scenic drive through New York State, heading toward the Adirondacks - the trees are very green but with some fall colours just starting. The campsite is rustic and very quiet, not too busy.
Highlights: Downtown Corning, beautiful town with old buildings and pretty parks
Rest stops are labelled "Text Stops" - very clever!

... 214, a farm to table gastropub about five minutes up the road. May I say, THE BEST lobster mac and cheese I've ever had. After that, along with the parmesan truffle fries, I surely gained 5 lbs on the spot. (That didn't, however, stop me from ordering ice cream later on.)
