We had a brief visit to see our daughter and her husband in Austin, TX. They moved here just a few months ago and seem to be well settled in. We did go to an Octoberfest dinner at a small German town called Walberg, just north of Georgetown where the beer and bratwurst flowed freely. It was a fun evening. We enjoyed our ...

It was an amazing experience. We took a 1.5 hour guided walking tour underground through the cave, learning about how it was discovered, what minerals line it, and which animal fossils were found. The girls did great. On our way again to Austin. We checked into the Embassy Suites and then back to ...

... Alps... the Alps that share a border with Austria. It's not well known among American tourists yet but that is starting to change.

      Here is our general itinerary...
      3 days in Istanbul
      7 days on the boat
      5 days in Slovenia

Hopefully, I will have time and internet to post entries regularly. I will try to make the entries interesting and clever and not too much history and geography!
