On the subject of which, we made a side sortie to Woods Hole (cousins Joe and Heather territory for family reasons). We had thought of tripping over to Martha's Vineyard by ferry and maybe cycling around the place, but time was becoming an issue and a whole day on the island was not a ...

      ...every, every minute?

"Do human beings realize life while they live it...every, every minute?" Emily Webb asks in the final scene of Thornton Wilder's Our Town.

Originally, I didn't want to write a post about this play. Every time I thought of it, I just felt bad...bad about the way I live my life, about the way others live their lives, and about how life must be lived.

The first two acts follow the lives of families in a small, ...
