... are a bunch of young people on the beach every night yet I'm more alone than I've ever been. The only people I Socialize with are The parents, the kids and the people I order food from. I am not cut out to live a lonely life. I need to socialize. It sucks. This beer and the music in my ears are amazing though. Two nights ago, when I got home, there was a deer at the front door. I almost had a heart attack. I'm not too familiar with deer since I am ...

From the New York border to New Haven we were in traffic - (note to my Memphis friends - there IS no traffic in Memphis!) all the New Yorkers getting out of town for the weekend I guess. We did see this truck - it says "Swimming Pool Water" (click to make the picture bigger). Swimming Pool Water? Seriously? People in New England get their swimming pool water delivered in a tank truck?

    ... ferry, the Susan Anne.

The top end of Long Island’s quite lovely, you’d hardly think the southern end, just 120 miles away, houses Queens and Brooklyn. Up here on the western side there are vineyards, country cottages and farm gate sales, but all took a battering from Irene’s passing; the verges are still filled with piles of chopped up branches and leaves are very sparse on some ...
