... I had a window and middle set, so we had a neighbour beside us to fill our row. Unfortunately our neighbour never got up to use the washroom, and being the overly polite people that we are, Craig and I didn't want to ask him to move so we could use the washroom. There was never an emergency, but we were both looking forward to using the washroom once we landed in Victoria.

The flight home was uneventful, thankfully, and except for the lack of sleep it was quite pleasant. I polished off another Connelly book and saw the Life of Pi (hmmmm....might be better on the big screen) finally. It is hard to get used to the cost of things here - $9 to take the skytrain downtown, $4 for the bus to the ferry, and $15 for the ferry to Nanaimo. Those things would have been 1/3 the cost or less in Asia. At least you don't ...

... WHILE SITTING HERE WATCHING T.V. I WAS READY TO SAY MAYBE WE SHOULD GET THE VAN AND HEAD TO HIGHER GROUND AS WE ARE RIGHT BY THE OCEAN AT SEA LEVEL. BILL THOUGHT THAT WE WOULD BE PROTECTED BY THE SMALL OUTTER ISLANDS AND THAT WE SHOULD JUST GO UP TO ONE OF THE HIGHER FLOORS. WE FINALLY WENT TO BED JUST BEFORE MIDNIGHT WHEN THE WARNINGS WERE DOWNED TO ADVISORIES.
