Everything that is said about the Icefield Parkway is true. It is a stunning drive, with lots of places to stop, stare and take a photo. In fact too many. We resisted the urge to stop and photograph Moronus Americanus taking pictures or Ursus Americanus. Letting your kids run up and touch a juvenile Black Bear must count as child abuse?

... we got up to the top it was like seeing life from a bird's perspective. The Arial view was amazing. The horizons were scattered between amazing mountaintops to grass swept Valleys. ... Park road but turned back after the road got a bit rougher than we were told it would be. So we drove out on Highway 1A to find a lake to sit by for a few hours to relax which was only a little way out and was very pleasant.
