... it all off, my parents, Ible and I went on a hike! We found time on the 11th to explore the Opal Creek Wilderness which apparently is only about an hour drive away from my the house. The trail that we had picked in that area was called the Opal Creek Trail. ... thought it belonged to one of the grandkids! We had a wonderful dinner! The dragon boats are all tied up near the restaurant and are very colorful and I should have taken a picture. Monica and brought the 1959 college yearbook, the year we roomed together, and we had fun looking at the photos and talking about the various gals we knew! Then a drive through Selwood to a bakery like place that sold decadent goodies for dessert and home.

12 noon -- Interstate 5 north between Tacoma and Seattle. Left La Quinta at Salem about 8:45am in the fog, just like it was when we checked in. Weatherman on morning news for Oregon said they've had lots of fog and lots of it dense fog. In fact, 10 days in January so far and 11 is the record.
