... real idea of how truly massive these trees are. The second time we went, we paid the $12 each to do the tree top walk. This is a little further on from our first visit but well worth trip if you aren't afraid of heights. It's a suspended bridge walk that takes you walking from the ground up to the tops of the trees, I think it reaches around 60ft, although some of the trees are still towering above you. Down the road we had a quick look at Peaceful Bay before returning to Aye Sailean in time for happy hour with the occupants of the other two caravans which was followed by tea with all of us seated at the same table continuing the conversation till late.

We had packed a lot of sightseeing into this day and could have easily spent the best part of a day at any one of the above locations we had visited quite easily if time had permitted.

Stopped at Denmark for lunch on the way to Walpole and attracted much attention from the local ducks. Took in some beautiful coastline then detoured off the main road through the karri forest. These magnificant trees are about the 3rd tallest in the world and compete for sunlight. The trunks of some trees have been reported to be 25 meters.
