Left Albuquerque at 0800 am and headed towards Clinton, Oklahoma for the night. Drove 486 miles today under bright and sunny skies. It was really windy and very chilly low 40s all day.

Stopped in Santa Rosa, New Mexico because I was curious about the Blue Hole. Not much else there, except a lot of prisoners picking up trash and a lot of ...

Left on Route 66 and stopped at the Route 66 museum, very touristy but some good photos of the construction of the road (by hand) & some good pictures taken during the dust bowl era of the poor people going West to find work. Not many places to stay but eventually found a half decent motel in Sayre ...

After leaving Keystone we stayed at Bristow, old working town which had a large Casino owned by the local Indians. It appears the 'gamble' has paid off for all these Indian Tribes buying into the Casino world. On Friday the 4th we stopped at the Museum at Chandler. It used to be an armoury and was built using hand made sandstone blocks 20 inch thick. It has been made into quite a modern museum with one of a kind video archives. The service gymnasium has ...

We pulled up to the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum in Clinton around 12:30 and spent about an hour studying the exhibits and watching the documentary film.

The Route 66 road surfaces are rough on the car. The last two days, the suspension was ...
