... purslane in garlic yogurt (I’ll try this with mache), and a kind of ratatouille of eggplant, zucchini, and peppers flavored with olive oil, garlic and lemon. They make a dessert of semolina, sugar, water, margarine, and nuts. The simple syrup is flavored with lemon geranium leaf. We got to taste all this, and I and 2 others got to make a borek out of phyllo and feta. I must say mine was the best looking!

... in all we were a bit disappointed in the site. An obvious fact was the main item, the Amphitheatre was being restored....yet again another restoration. We also thought the restoration was a bit too much. Maybe you can see from the picture the roof of the seating...very nice neat gravel? ... br> We headed back to the apartment for a swim in the beach and once again saw a tortoise on the road; this time with space to stop and move him to the side.... Unfortunately at the beach it was blowing a small gale and the white water did not look inviting.

Golf tomorrow morning, early, and ruins in the afternoon. Still no passport and tomorrow is a National Holiday.... starting to worry slightly...

... there is a new tram which runs out to the Otogar) we headed back to Kaleiçi to find the old covered bazaar. We found it but it was a disappointment after the wonderful Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. Walked out of Kaleiçi I to the non tourist part of town to a recommended Pide and cafeteria restaurant. Food was great and cheap. We both had dinner for 19 TL (about $10)- can't beat ...

Today we explored Antalya. After breakfast we set forth on the bus to the city.
