    ... a few folks walked out to meet us. Turns out they were the FBO owner and his sons, and for the week of Oshkosh, in addition to especially inexpensive fuel ($5.01/gal when the rest of the country was $6 or more), they also put on a free lunch of barbecued pork sandwiches, homemade deserts, and just good old fashioned hospitality. This is what aviation in America should be - I just wish that there were more places like it.

    ... and even managed to experience our first small town diner for the lack of a better option. Our accommodation for the night was another historic B&B with a chatty owner, but on a much grander scale. This one had about 12 rooms, including one in the tower accessed by a narrow spiral staircase, which we got upgraded too. Not the greatest place considering Donelle's vertigo and the severe storms, but it was good even with the warnings interrupting our TV ...

    ... look around downtown. It's amazing the things you can learn, even after 16 years of living somewhere. We never knew that it was a Holy Week tradition to go to seven "monuments" (Catholic Churches) and recite prayers. In Bogota, because most people have the day off on Good Friday, that is when they do this. We found ourselves in crowds of tens of thousands of people walking from church to church to read certain prayers at each one!
