After a few scares at O'Hare (no Australian visa- apparently we needed one!, airline split up our reservation, flight delays to San Fran) we made it to San Francisco with 4 hours to spare before the flight. We thought it was smooth sailing and enjoyed a nice sushi dinner and some wine/beer at the United Club. We boarded our flight and settled in to our cozy 2 seat row. ... br> All the protections that exist in the U.S. We managed to survive anyway -- no car seats, no seat belts, no waiver release forms, no guard rails and warning signs everywhere. No one telling you that your kids can't fly through the desert sitting on top of a jeep with wind whipping through their hair.

... mine, I highly recommend this place. It was incredible. We decided to walk along to Fisherman's Wharf which is as kitschy as you can get, but it was teeming with people. As we have experienced all week, the weather has been incredible - sunny and hot. Beautiful! We did end up giving out most of our sandwiches, so hopefully we helped a little. We got to the line up for the cable cars, and we would have been waiting in line forever, so much to Jack's disappointment, we skipped ...

... the flight, Shelley and another crew member held a Father's Day contest and John won by having the most grandchildren. The long air time didn't seem so bad!

We arrived around 12:30 PM SFO time and caught the complimentary shuttle to the hotel.
Luckily we were able to check in early. We hung out in the room a while, just recovering, you might say, until time to pick up our Road Scholar materials ...

... an elevator to the top but when you get there the views are worth it of the whole city!! From there, we got the bus to Palace of fine Arts which was lovely, we even saw a wedding happen whilst i was trying to take a selfie haha! As we were shattered we went back to the hotel and rested our legs before heading out for dinner at Golden Gate Grill. Last night in San Fran..next stop ...
