    Running out of steam

    ... so despite both me and Carrie being exhausted we limped our way into Armitage.

    Once moored up it seemed like Carrie got a burst of energy so went blackberry picking, we then had a dinner of beans on toast with mushrooms followed by french toast with a kind of jam style coulis using the last of the fresh fruit.

    ... meals which was good as the plan was to just keep going as late as we could and stop when we ran out of energy or light. But first we stopped at Shugborough Hall.

    ... and safety the entire top floor and towers were removed which is a shame, they have done quite a lot of restoration since but it's a shame how much of it was lost.

    Today was a very pleasant one. Set off for the Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford just a few mile down the road from where we are staying. No stuff ups for the navigator.     ... was also the yoghurt, strawberry and muesli parfait before that - yum yum. Then we wandered down to the village to visit the museums (there are 10 in total). I think we made it to 5, so still have some for tomorrow. The reason for so much walking is due to the place being built on the sides of the valley and one has to walk up and down all the time. Might have to drive tomorrow as one of the museums covers 52 ...
