And so after a long flight - 12+ hours - we arrived in Paris, grabbed a quick drink and then on to Birmingham. Unfortunately, Pat's suitcase decided to stop off in Paris but will hopefully be delivered tomorrow! Back to a sunny UK, with a temperature not much cooler than Hanoi yesterday, where the blossom is in full swing. Lots of memories of a lovely holiday. ...

Sun is shining, grass is green ...... Well it is now. Nathan and Bob have laid the new lawn and it looks fab. Planted some annuals in the beds, baskets are ordered, and Hank has just picked up our new patio set. All looks fab. Had dinner out in the garden. Happy days ...

... It was all about Roald Dahls books and how he wrote them. There was a place that you could see where he worked on his books (the original shed from the bottom of his garden) and what it was like. There were some gross things on the desk like his hip bone! There also was a ladder to see how tall he was. He was so tall. I was the size of the 'Old Green Grasshopper'.
Then we walked up to the church to see his grave stone.
We had a really cool time - thanks Auntie Rachey xxx

It was very dark and wet when we woke up to the alarm. Leanne arrived as planned and drove us to the airport. Unfortunately, as we left the M6 there was a huge tail back where we needed to go, presumably due to an accident.. We sat in it for a while, moving 100yds in 10 mins. Action was needed so we headed off towards Tamworth where we saw signs towards Coleshill. At least that was vaguely in the right direction. Between my limited knowledge and Leanne's iPhone, ...

Today was a very pleasant one. Set off for the Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford just a few mile down the road from where we are staying. No stuff ups for the navigator. Spent a couple of hours wandering about the hangers. Then we headed to the Blists Hill Victorian Town. Now I debated about whether to visit or not, but Peter ...
