... Rochester to visit on old friend from our time in Pittsburgh. Sesh, Sandhya, and twin 14-year-old daughters Aditit and Anjana treated us to an wonderful dinner and stay. We really enjoyed catching up and reminiscing about friends, professors, and Pitt places. The next morning we walked along part of the Erie Canal in Rochester- nice time - before our trip to UMASS!
... hadn't started up their week-day schedule yet, so that didn't work. We also looked at taking a ride on the Finger Lakes Railroad out of Geneva, a town about 20 miles east from the campground, but they only do excursions by special schedule, and none were scheduled for this week, so again no luck.

... was fantastic. The towns along the canal seem to fall over themselvs to make boaters feel welcome. And this time of year there don’t seem to be many boaters. We have one boat docked with us tonight. I’m sure once school lets out that things will pick up. That’s why we like to cruise the off-seasons.

Nick and Lina left for home this morning. What a nice week we had together. We enjoyed having them aboard and they got to see what we do in our spare time. We will miss them.
