    Spring Bayou Inn - a charming B & B

    from

My husband and I spent three nights in the romantic Rose Room at the Spring Bayou Inn in Tarpon Springs. It is a charming Bed and Breakfast, with lovely antique furniture and very personable, friendly innkeepers. We were pleasantly surprised by the gourmet breakfasts prepared by our innkeeper, who happens to be a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School. Another plus for us was that free wireless internet was available, as we always travel with our laptop. The convenient location of the B & B enabled us to walk everywhere. We were so excited to have found the Spring Bayou Inn and our gracious hosts. In fact, we are already planning a trip back to Tarpon Springs, and will stay at the Spring Bayou Inn, of course! Looking forward to sitting on that beautiful wrap-around porch again!

    Couldn't have been better!

    from

What a lovely place to stay! Quiet, homey and gracious hosts. Request the stuffed French Toast, it's incredible! Prices are affordable, kids are welcome, close to great restaurants and the Main Street. We came upon the Inn by chance, and will make it a stop next time we're in Tarpon Springs. You'll want to tell all your friends about it, we are. The Scott Family, (Scotty, Marlene & Elsbeth)

The Very Best of Accommodations & Food

    from

My husband & I celebrated an anniversary at the Spring Bayou Inn & loved everything about it. Bill & Sherri know how to make your stay special: the room was lovely & the food was out of this world. We plan to go back & have recommended it to many others.

    Convenient but noisy

    from

My husband and I stayed at the Spring Bayou for a few days of what we hoped would be peace and quiet. The house is beautiful, and very convenient to shops and the waterfront, but we were given a room that was just off the kitchen (we felt the owners should have made us aware of this when we booked the room). There was continuous noise - preparing food, clanking dishes, conversations (ordering food supplies, etc). This room, The Hibiscus Room, would probably better serve as an office. The owners, a nice young couple, live upstairs with their cats. Every step they took upstairs created creaking floors and thumping sounds (from the cats). We could not sleep until the owners were in bed themselves. The room itself was spacious and comfortable although we had to prop up our pillows at the foot of the bed if we wanted to see the TV (which had no remote). The bathroom was so tiny that we had to sit "side-saddle" on the toilet as our knees and chin were jammed into the sink. We were very cold the first night and had not been made aware that there was a heater in the room. It was hidden by a hanging quilt. We returned from site seeing the next day to find that there had been no room service. The bed had not been made, no fresh towels ( although there was 1 clean bath towel in the closet). After two nights of fitful sleep (there seemed to be drag racing both nights in town and the ambulances ran all night - not the fault of the innkeepers, of course) we were exhausted. We had our own entrance into the back parking lot which was nice and the food was very good. The owners also get points for cleanliness. The bathroom was spotless. We've stayed at hundreds of B&B's in the past 30 years. For the price of 120.00 a night, most B & B's offer much more comfortable accomodations. We won't be back to this one.

    Wonderful time

    from

My husband and I visited the Inn to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful time. Although the current owners have only been there for 2 months, they have 8 yrs experience at a B &B in another location, and it shows! The rooms and house are lovely and comfortable, and the breakfast was awesome! We attended the cooking class they offer (you watch the chef prepare the next day's breakfast the evening before and then observe him the next day as he finishes it up) and found it informative, entertaining, and both the hosts' company very enjoyable. There is a lot to do and see in Tarpon Springs, and the Inn's location is very convenient. I look forward to another visit.

    UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP

    from

We recently visited S.B.I. and were dismayed to find it under new ownership(within the past ten days). The house IS beautiful but the new owner was overwhelmed. He was by himself- his wife had not come down from Wisconsin yet. The air conditioning was NOT turned on- he doesn't turn it on until around 5pm. THIS WAS IN JULY! We didn't think he could handle breakfast, which we would need after sweating all nite much less any other B&B amenities. We instead stayed at the Bavarian Inn which also was under new management-8 months- but very, very delightful. My write-up is under their heading.

Loved Tarpon Springs and the Spring Bayou Inn!

    from

The Spring Bayou Inn was beautiful--wrap around porch, Heart of Pine woodwork, origional fixtures and a baby grand panio! Our room was spacious and comfortable. Innkeepers were gracious. We definately recommend this place and will be back soon!

    Loved the Spring Bayou Inn

    from

Our stay was incredible. Sharon creates a very homey, comfortable setting which immediately calms and relaxes. We rode our bikes in on the Pinellas Trail and got a later start than intended, but Sharon was kind enough to wait for us before closing for the night - just a real godsend. Breakfast is worth mentioning, too. Sharon brews a great pot of coffee and cooks yummy breakfasts!

Old fashioned warmth at the Spring Bayou B&B

    from

I spent one night at the Spring Bayou B&B in Tarpon Springs, FL. A

lovely old house furnished in keeping with the style of the house and

an innkeeper who was welcoming and friendly. About a block away was the

Spring Bayou where the young men dive for a cross every spring. I

watched the sunset over the bayou, shopped at the many antique stores

in the area, rode the trolley, did some sight-seeing and enjoyed two

delicious Greek meals. Although short, my trip was memorable.

Victorian Elegance in a Greek Setting

    from

We enjoyed simple elegance at Spring Bayou Inn. Sharon, the innkeeper, made us feel especially welcomed. We enjoyed leisurely walks along Spring Bayou where many elegant, historical homes faced the bayou. The Tarpon Springs Museum was enjoyable with the history of Florida and the sponging industry of Tarpon Springs. Antique stores are within walking distance as are Greek pastry shops, restaurants, and the Greek Orthodox Church where mass is still read in Greek. We enjoyed the company of diverse people from all over the world. It truly made our stay more enjoyable and relaxing. I would definitely stay there again!
