It is 2 am and the adventure to the Holy Land begins in the quite cold of an early Minnesota morning. Father in heaven, watch over my wife and children and bless your church here in Raymond. Amen.
... with our sticks, searching for fish in the shallows and jumping the hairline pressure cracks as they buckled and snapped beneath our legs. on the 3rd day the lake received a dusting of snow... not enough to slow a sharp pair of thin blades down... allowing us another few days of fun.

Next in the small town of Blue Earth, Minnestoa ( dont ask - I dont know either ) is a major processing plant for the Green Giant Food Company. ... my Visa, which only came today (read: 5 days before training starts, and actually 2 days before my flight leaves). So, a bit nerve-wracking to say the least. But my parents have been supportive and helpful through it all, and I'm almost done packing. 31 hours until I hop on a plane. Woohoo! (and, uh, whatever sound fear makes.)
... about my harrowing flight and probably the first few days in Beijing!
