    ... east I got, the more trees there were to create some interference. The GPS likes it here a whole lot better too. In fact, I wasn’t across the line more than a minute and it was back to letting me know I was speeding. I’d missed that. Actually, two things it’s been good about all along is letting me know what time it is, because it’s not always clear where the time zones change, and how fast I’m going. ...

    ... with our sticks, searching for fish in the shallows and jumping the hairline pressure cracks as they buckled and snapped beneath our legs. on the 3rd day the lake received a dusting of snow... not enough to slow a sharp pair of thin blades down... allowing us another few days of fun.

    And lastly, In the town of Darwin, Minnesota, is the quirkiest of all. One man has assembled the worlds largest ball of twine. It weighs in at 70 tons and is just about the only attraction in town. It has been certified by the Guiness Book of Records - so if you want to spend the next 45 years doing nothing but rolling up twine, you too might be able to beat this record.
    Too quirky, but that could aslo be said about the guy who went 1 ...

    ... my Visa, which only came today (read: 5 days before training starts, and actually 2 days before my flight leaves). So, a bit nerve-wracking to say the least. But my parents have been supportive and helpful through it all, and I'm almost done packing. 31 hours until I hop on a plane. Woohoo! (and, uh, whatever sound fear makes.)
