Million Dollar Road
Spent the morning working. We did take a short break around 10am to watch the Durango-Silverton train leave.
After lunch, we tried a hike, but the road was a bit slick for our little rental car (who got us almost too the end of the road), and the trail was too muddy or too snowy. Since I wasn't dressed for a hike in the snow, we decided to take a drive.

... Again, we could see many different cliff dwellings at the many stop. In addition, a few of the stops showed the pit houses, dug into the earth then built up with logs and covered with roofing materials, which were some of the first types of dwellings in the region. Durango, Colorado!
We had an awesome day today. We are in a small town called Durango in Colorado up in the mountains. It's more of a ski resort kind of town. We got a group photo taken with the Rocky Mountains in the background. It snowed the night before we arrived so there is fluffy white soft snow everywhere so the conditions were perfect for snowmobiling!

Million Dollar Highway
Wow Day 14, two weeks on the road and more to come. Tomorrow I start exploring southern Colorado.
Today was a short ride of 272 kms from Grand Junction to Durango but what a ride. One section is called the Million Dollar Highway which rumour has it that it cost a million dollars per mile to build. Bum around the campground and walk around Durango
