Defuniak Springs is close to Pensacola. I rode US 331 south to US 98 West through Miramar Beach, Destin and Fort Walton Beach to Pensacola. It was a beautiful cool morning but US 98 is not on the beach. I stopped in at Pensacola Harley Davidson for a coffee and phone call break around 10am. Glad to be staying at a hotel. It is so hot out here. It is 95 degrees but feels like 103. Yow! We were going to camp at a place with a water park but it is to hot. I was glad to here we were going to stay at a hotel. We went to visit Bret Favre's home town. Small. The town was called Kiln. We went out to eat at a sea food joint. Mmmmm yummy yummy. Shortly after that, we were at the battleship memorial on Mobile Bay. The battleship USS Alabama, is moored there in the fashion of the Queen Mary in Long Beach. I had seen it before in my previous motorcycle trips to this neck of the woods, but for one reason or another, never stopped.

... We had some hand cut fries and a diet coke to share. We sat in an open walled building right on the road. We walked across the street to look in the shops and take some photos. It's basically a three block town. The homewares shop has only cream and light brown cushions and furniture which was very seaside. We went into a book store and cd shop above.
