Had a great tourist-y day yesterday. Went into Chattanooga and walked around the riverfront. Saw start of Trail of Tears, new Aquarium, rental bikes, lyrics and rails in sidewalk, etc downtown. We met Peggy's long time friend, Jack in Blairsville. Jack took us on a hike on Cowpen Trail to the summit of Cowpen Mountain which is 3852 feet in elevation. This trail is on the Appalachian Trail. We saw quite a few through hikers and talked to them. One had his dog who even had ...

We drove to Blue Ridge which is about 30 miles north of Ellijay. We walked around the quaint town and froze. According to the internet, the temperature feels like 41 degrees, and the wind is blowing. We visited several places here. We ate our lunch at Blue Ridge City Park in the center of town where there are picnic tables and benches.

... The old courthouse was sold to the state of Georgia, and the state refurbished the structure. Today the old courthouse is on the National Historic Register and is home to the Dahlonega Gold Museum.

It was raining as we departed the museum and in the low 60's. Based on recommendations we chose The Picnic Cafe on the Public Square to eat lunch. The food was good.

We walked around the town in the rain.
