Fortunately we had an 11:35 AM flight from Madrid to JFK so we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn. A direct flight is always better! We actually took off on time. Time to read trough my journal and look at some photos and start processing our trip. Always something that I do on a return flight. Thank you Steve Jobs! The iPad makes it so much easier. This was a wonderful trip! We saw and did so much and we were never exhausted. Tired some days by dinner time, ...

From there we headed to Orient for a 1hr 20min ferry ride to New London, then drove onto Cape Cod. ...

personally been attacked by some local insects which devoted a lot of
          energy on my left ankle.

Pickles was very confused by the lack
of light as the state campground are not lighted and could not

... In England (and probably other places as well) you are given an opportunity to get your VAT back by filling out a form. This is not worth the effort unless you are spending a lot of money in one place. Let's say you decide to buy a complete Royal Albert service with 12 place settings, then ask for the VAT form and have the sales clerk fill it out. If you are buying expensive antiques do the same. Always check to be sure what you are buying is allowed back in the US. When I ...
