We had to change our plans a bit today as it was still really hot. We had planned to visit Out of Africa today and the Desert Botanical Gardens tomorrow, however the idea of walking around a safari park in this heat seemed like a terrible plan and it is meant to be cooler tomorrow, so we switched our days over. So tomorrow we head off to Palm Springs which appears to be extremely hot...that I am looking forward ...

On Saturday, we took an hour-long hike on the Road Runner Trail to the Visitor Center and to look around a bit. We found a trail down to water level and there found some unique Easter-Lilly like flowers that were quite beautiful and especially appropriate to the season. The trail ...

... airline changed my layover flight from Texas to Newark. So it was double the flight time of my trip to Panama. Needless to say, I arrived in Newark cranky.
The whole international travel thing is a mess. You see I get off the plane in Newark and wait in line to get through customs where the worker is barely social despite the fact that I actually tried to be friendly. She wasn't mean just super uninterested. Then I grabbed my checked bag ...
