... bar on Saddle stools. The whole place was decorated with money that previous guests had written notes on or signed. The bartender said there was over $120,000 on the walls from about 25 different countries (we added our $1 bill). The bathroom had low saloon style doors on the stalls, with painted western ladies from the neck down on the doors and the heads on the wall behind the toilets. ... hanging out. I've seen lizards, burros and the famous, "beep beep" roadrunner. There are black bears and cougars, deer and elk, and both bald and golden eagles. I would love to see any of these wild big boys, but you have to get up into the mountains, and away from populated areas.

  • lighter, knife, all that fun stuff
  • medication for five months
  • hiking shoes (greer, they're vegan!)
  • lots of paperwork, like my wwoof list, copies of my passport, medical records, etc.
  • cords for my phone, camera, etc.
  • lots of duct tape
  • aaand a head lamp
  • this is all getting really real. and i'm incredibly excited.
