... in the garden which is used as a restaurant. We had a drink in the garden before continuing on our way home. Melanie went for a run before cooking dinner for us. ... I enjoyed afternoon tea in the Gwalia Tea Room above the authentic, turn of the century country store. The reconstructed village really helps us imagine what life may have been like hundreds of years ago – not a lifestyle I would want to go back to. Had I lived during that era I most likely would have passed on 20 years ago.

... House which is the oldest inn in England. It has recently been renovated so looked very new in some ways but the grandness of the building which originated over 1000 years ago was still evident. We had a pre-dinner drink and then got shown to our table. Was a very nice meal, more like a restaurant than a pub although I did have fish pie. Was very good and made me bit home sick. ... very nice building but very similar to a few other major abbey/cathedrals we have been in. We then headed to Gloucester to have a look around there. We went to the Gloucester cathedral but couldn't get in as there was a choir concert thingee on.
