Vegetarians are welcome!
my wife and i have visited the south court inn twice now and have been blown away by the hospitality of tom and anita. they make special arrangements for our vegetarian diet (lacto) and the breakfast is always a pleasure we look forward to. we can't wait until our next visit to luray. knowing of a great b&b is like having an honest mechanic or good dentist.... you'll always trust them and never go anywhere else.

Our Anniversary stay at The South Court Inn
We recently were at the South Court in for the Anniversary special. This Inn is wonderful, romantic and ideally located in Luray. From the outset, we were treated like family and were made to feel real welcomed.
The Inn is beautiful and the tour Tom gave us was quite interesting. The breakfasts were excellent and very filling. The music created a romantic mood. It was everything I had hoped for and more. My wife was very pleased too. The room we had was beautiful as were the other rooms (we snuck a peek!)
The roses for my wife were gorgeous, the massage was very relaxing and the dinner at the Victorian Inn was exquisite. I couldn't have planned a better anniversary trip.
The Luray area is very beautiful and the caverns were worth the time. I must say, the pace of life is very slow and we enjoyed that aspect too.
I would highly recommend the Anniversary package at the South Court Inn. It was definetly worht the drive from Baltimore.
The South Court Inn was GREAT!
We had such a wonderful time at the South Court TOm and Anita where delightful, the food was simply amazing and so was the atmoshpere. I could not have hoped for a better valentines day.
The Anniversary Package is so great and relaxing...
Our hosts Tom and Annita were so wonderful from the moment we arrived.
The work they have done on this beautiful home was great to see. There history of the place was great to hear about. It was so quiet and relaxing from the room, to the music playing outside your door. The massage and dinner was great but the desert that was awaiting us when we came back from an outstanding dinner was awesome!! Last but not least the breakfast that Tom made both days was great.
Thank you so much for making our weekend away something that we will never ever forget..

Picture a weekend of PURE relaxation
My fiancee, James & I spent a weekend with Tom & Anita at the South Court Inn in mid-January. From the beautiful holiday decorations to the finest Victorian detail, the Inn is a visual feast. We had the PLEASURE of booking the "Ultimate Annniversery Spa Weekend Get-a-way." It was worth every single penny spent. Tom had great suggestions for small lunch spots [if you had ANY room after the amazing candlelit breakfasts] and attractions off the beaten path. James & I had the most wonderful and relaxing weekend. The massuese, Dot, was AMAZING and very professional. It made it so comfortable with her doing the massages right in our room. Bring champagne to use the crystal toasting glasses provided, it makes it such a romantic atmosphere. The evening was capped off with a gourmet dinner at The Victorian Inn [still part of the package]. The staff recognized us at the door.. "James, Cheryl, How is your stay at the South Court Inn? Let me show you to your table." At every available instance we were treated exceptionally well & made to feel "special." We returned to the Inn to find our bed turned down with rose petals sprinkled across the sheets and a light & delicious heart shaped white chocolate mousse with FRESH raspberries on a tray in the center of the bed. [Is your mouth watering??, it should be..] The constant lullaby of classical music flows through the house & makes you just melt in that big, cozy king-sized bed. I can not say enough about the place. Spend your money wisely, Go to the South Court Inn.. you will not regret it.
Christmas at South Court Inn
My husband and I visited the South Court Inn for a nice, romantic Christmas get-a-way.We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We are used to the traditional hotel stay. From the moment we pulled into the driveway we were taken by the surroundings. From the deer in the front yard to the beautiful landscaping and lighting. When we walked in the front door I felt immediately relaxed. The Potts family give such a warm welcome.
The house is an absolute treasure. The dining room is such a beautiful place to enjoy Tom & Anita's delicious breakfast by candlelight. We were surrounded by beautiful antiques and soft music. The silverware, the serving dishes, the goblets... all of it was so delightful. We enjoyed 2 days of the best breakfast ever! The hot chocolate was scrumpcious! Our bedroom (the emma glenn) was superb. Everything in the room is so beautiful. The drapes that are hand made. the feather-bed which had us snuggling so comfortably. There were so many antique treasures so take in! I enjoyed a nice hot bath each night which was exactly what I needed.
Tom and Anita are very hospitable. They took care of everything. They even took special care with my meals to ensure a proper diabetic diet.
They made our stay warm, comfortable and most enjoyable. It was just the relaxing get-a-way we needed before our baby is born.
South Court Inn Bed and Breakfast
South Court Inn Bed and Breakfast put a package together for our 10th Wedding Anniversary that was romantic as well as memorable. Our hosts, Tom & Anita, provide more than a place to sleep. They welcome you into their home with open arms. They truly bend over backwards in making their guests feel comfortable and special. Knowing that we were strangers to the area, Tom helped us plan our days, providing suggestions, directions & an itinerary. The bedrooms are top notch, cozzy. The candlelight breakfasts were spectacular. My husband and I were spoiled for the weekend and loved every minute. We highly recommend the Inn for a romantic get away or for a stress free retreat. The South Court Inn is charming and the Hosts are gracious.
Loved South Court Inn
My husband and I spent our 6 year anniversary in August at South Court Inn B7B in Luray, VA. Tom and Anita Potts made us feel at home and the service was impeccable. The breakfast was unbelievably delicious and the accomodations are out of this world. They went out of their way to make sure that our anniversary was something to remember. Since then, we have given a weekend getaway to friends as a wedding present. They loved their stay as well. I recommend South Court Inn to everyone. It was better than staying at a 5 star hotel.Aileen Rheault White Plains, MD
Relax at the South Court Inn
Highly recommend a stay at the South Court Inn. Conveniently located in town just a stones throw from Luray Caverns, South Court Inn was a great choice for our anniversary getaway. The Inn was located in a great spot easy to find and very convenient for our day trip excursions. The Inn was decorated incredibly in a Victorian style by the Inn Keepers themselves. The attention to detail was impressive. The Inn offers a very relaxed atmosphere and the breakfast was great. The anniversary getaway package takes the planning out of your hands and sets a schedule and surprises for your weekend. We will be returning again certainly.

Headed to Shenandoah National Park for some exploration and fun. After visiting the Visitor's Center and getting our passport stamped, we headed to a short 1 mile hike on Lands Run which ends at a falls. Mousse loved to walk in the stream - he had a blast. Sheila and I did well on the first part of the hike since it was downhill. On the way back, we didn't like it much. We also had a lunch ...

Mousse had a difficult time with all the people, sirens, and sounds of the big city. Most of the walk he was either timid or scared. We did get stopped by a bunch of people who wanted to pet Mousse. He didn't have any problem ...

After the debacle at Camping World, we headed to Front Royal, Virginia. Front Royal is in the Shenandoah Valley. It is about a 45 minute drive to Washington, DC. We are staying at North Fork RV Resort on the North Fork of the Shenandoah ...
... us. Sorry Wal*mart dude. Just a couple of rude yankees trying to get back out on the road.
Then it was a confusing but quick trip to the hotel. We didn't know it at the time, but a theme throughout the trip was us getting lost trying to find the hotel, which always seemed to be to the west and directly into the setting sun. Anyway, a steak, a few beer and a shot of balvanie and all was right with the world ...
