... it. He told me there was a time he'd be too shy to come talk to a stranger, but he's been trying to change that. I can relate. I saw a cool snake in the grass and warned three nearby guys who were playing disc golf. They came over and immediately started messing with it. Happy Flag Day!

It's Flag Day and my flag of choice is a giant banner that reads, "IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!"

Sterling, population 1900, and settled into a McDonald's for their wi-fi. We're staying at the fairgrounds tonight and if they'll let us, we're going to stay there the whole weekend too.

Up early this morning for another long day. Only stops we made were for food and fuel and a photo stop beside the Mississippi River before heading to Keokuk for the night. After dinner we walked down to the river and watched a tug push barges into the lock, one o 23 locks on the river.

Along the back roads there is corn field after corn field, the shopping centre was surrounded by a corn field.
