Well we did this National Park on the same day as Bryce Canyon and it was so spectacular (and unexpected) we have so many photos that we thought it deserved a mention all of it's own.

We literally did just stumble upon this place. If the I9 hadn't been shut through Zion National Park then we wouldn't even have known about it.

We were traveling a scenic route on highway 14. Other than the Grand Canyon this has been our favorite part of our trip. Came up on this little village in the mountains. It is so pretty and peaceful. I can just imagine staying there. Saw ducks swimming across the lake. A little down the road we came upon the Navajo Lake, and lava rock. • Utah is home to five national parks -- all rich in history and unique in beauty. Yesterday we spent the day in Zion National Park with Bill and Carole -- they are wonderful tour guides because they visit the parks often. Zion National Park is a showcase of geology -- it's characterized by high plateaus, a maze of narrow, deep sandstone canyons, and striking rock towers and mesas. We hiked the Riverside Trail which runs along the Virgin ...

... up and away. This morning I got to go up on the first ride. My photos tell the story. :). Just like Friday, we switched riders so more people could go up. At this point let me say I am grateful I was on the first ride. As the second group lifted off, the wind changed and the balloon headed a different direction to the southwest of town. The pilot was having a difficult time finding a landing place where the truck could meet him. Once the balloon is down ...
