Onto Toronto we went. In true celebratory fashion, I spent the entirety of the five hour journey across Canada listening to Drake and The Weeknd, who are of course both from Toronto. After finding our hostel with no problem, we went to get food and drink for the few days. I had a small mishap. George would say I lost my passport; I prefer the term 'misplaced'. ... but that often fizzled into nothing. In the 9th inning however they began to get to the White Sox bullpen. Ultimately they scored 2 runs in the final inning but fell short when Melky Cabrera grounded out to the second baseman with the bases loaded.

The real adventure occurred on the way home. First was a construction zone that reduced 4 lanes of traffic, plus another two lanes merging later, into a single lane. It took me 40 minutes to go ...

... We arrived around 6ish, again it was freezing cold-hence no photos as there was nothing really to see at that time of the night! We had our first Denny's experience-it was ok but we've had a lot better food than this. It was across the road though so very convenient! Up again the morning at 4am, need to be at the airport by 5am for our flight to Chicago. We have an hour stop over there...then onto San Francisco! Bring on the warmer ...

... regret it; it seems like every city in North America has its own tower, even if the view from it isn't particularly great.

A nice part of Toronto is the historic Distillery District. It's full of designer shops, art galleries, bars... There is a very nice coffee house called "Balzac" - be sure to visit it!
