Wake up, look out our window, it's raining. Shower, dress, look out the window it’s SNOWING. Today was like a nice relaxing Sunday drive through paradise. First we went to the Flume Visitors Center, in the Franconia Notch State Park, for a movie about the geography of the area.

We then traveled on the Kancamagus Highway, one of the National scenic byways. We saw rain, snow and ...
... from Orange County, CA. He took a “leaf-peeker” (yes, that’s what we’re called) tour many years ago and ended up buying a home and studio here 7 years ago. Says he and his wife have never been happier!
Finally, we ended up at our hotel, a ski resort in New Hampshire called the Mountain Resort at Loon. Really nice room and really good dinner. . . . good night. . . zzzzzzzz
... long lost husband and demanding his right to the inheritance of her estate. I was glad to hear that the judge who considered the case threw out his application saying that he had lost any right to his former wife’s estate by his long absence and hard-hearted silence. Excellent natural justice.
We would love to come back to the area again one day though perhaps in better weather!...
Next stop: Boston & the Maine coastline.
... lie !!! We then went south to the "Flume", you will see the photos. And boy did we see some amazing colors. Florence and I agree that we have all the same colors in our trees back home, but there all spotted around the countryside and don't take up the whole hill sides. Some of the hillsides truly look ablaze with color. Off to Vermont tomorrow.

... I am not sure when we will have internet next but I cannot believe how much typing I got done this week ! Coralyn will be amazed that I am almost caught up. The kids took their last swim in the glorious pool, we played our last game of mini-golf ! It grows dark right now and after taking the tractor wagon ride they all ran off to play their ...
Woodstock, New Hampshire, United States pringlefarmToday was a lovely day of swimming in the pool, playing minigolf, riding bikes and reading or writing in my journal. In between, I am trying to get our blog caught up and have learned a few tricks like how to upload pictures quicker ! You know when you are not a computer person, trial and error is just that !! Anyway, now that Bob is home and we miss him so much... He too can look on to see ...
Woodstock, New Hampshire, United States pringlefarm... compared to the ones I remember and they had a great view of the mountains ! They will be there all of this week at their youth conference which is sponsored by our church all over North America. We originally chose Calgary as it was close to home and with their cousin/friends Alyssa and Becky, but as we determined we would be on the east coast by then, we went on-line and found New Hampshire ! I am sure they are the only Canadians there ...
Woodstock, New Hampshire, United States pringlefarm... aggressively berated us whenever anything was even slightly not to her liking, or that we were supposed to keep her house clean and organized but we weren't actually supposed to spend any time in it, take that as meaning not so much that I disrespect the way she ran her farm but rather that I would have exploded from unspoken critiques if I had stayed any longer than my two weeks there and that these were my idle thoughts whilst weeding as yet unplanted ...

The actual fun park in Attitash becomes a ski resort in the winter, but in the summer you can take a chairlift up the mountain and then go on a bobsled slide that whizzes you back down. It was great fun. The sidewinder water slide was also great. We headed back to the Inn and sat on the porch reading our books with the family dog, Valcary, sitting at our feet.
