Seeing on Facebook that a few of my friends were out wine tasting... And I find out they were in Fredericksburg, TX !!! About a 4 hour drive! I invite myself! Due to my car situation--2000 Honda Civic with 260000 miles. I call Enterprise Rent a car, they stay open until I get there. I'm thrilled!!!! I go to Aledo's Football game, go home, pack.... Sleep for a bit and head down the road at ...

There is also a very large hotel (currently only a shell), the Baker. It dominates the scenery. After drinking of the water, we drove through Cool and Millsap, TX. We had brought a wheel chair for him to use if necessary, but with the muddy puddles, it was not easy to push him around. We did ...

Sad day - We departed. The Angels headed East 400+ miles and the children headed south for their 700 mile journey back home to south Texas. Wendi and I went to the Carlsbad Caverns first thing this morning. Park opens at 8am and we took the first elevator down the 750ft cavern. Words and the couple photos that turned out just don't do it justice. We hadn't been there since we were very little. We walked one cavern, which was a ...

... part of the show was happening. After we got ourselves situated, we went back to sleep for an hour and a half. We’re both learning the joy of naps when we can afford to take them.

Emilie came over to make eggs in our electric skillet (thank you, thank you again Ryan & Tatiana) and we were the joyful benefactors of scrambled eggs & pesto. I love the arrangement we’ve made with her; she stores ...
