... people we've met and we enjoyed talking to them so much. I especially love the accents and their different nicknames and expressions for things like "blimey!" and "touch wood" instead of "knock on wood". ... the neighbours weren't affected. As we watched with dismay, the awning was ripped off the van and cartwheeled over the roof. Sadly a beam landed on Brutus. It hit the windshield and cracked it. We managed to roll in the awning and gather the straps. In the cold light of day, we had to conclude it was just bad luck – we were in the wrong place at the wrong time!
