... 14 So we get up and it is very foggy and our aim is to travel towards Salzburg on the Romantikstrasse, The Austrian Romantic Road and we did just that off the Autobahn and onto the country roads, then the fog lifted to reveal picture postcard country, it is just absolutely beautiful. ... as it rained quite heavily for a short while. Set off when it eased and soon it stopped. We really have been quite lucky with the rain today as we got to see the ravine and upper part of the valley before the mist came in and obscured it. ... an old forestry road and unfortunately they were working on it and it was mud to our ankles, boots totally covered! That only lasted a few hundred metres, but track was very wet in any low lying areas. Managed to clean the worst of the mud off when we came to a spot where water was gushing out from a pipe under the track.
