    ... neighbors' 40th Anniversary celebration. All the neighbors turned out - some old, some new, some borrowed ... but I digress. A good time was had by all. Jim and Gayle and Mom Nancy put on a great party. Lots of good food. Then, back to Schmidts for a wonderful boat ride. So nice. Up tomorrow for the rest of our journey home

    Time to head home! :(

    After one last yummy free breakfast at the hotel, we got a luggage cart, which Reagan had fun riding (parents of the year right here!), and headed back up to the hotel room to get all of our luggage, and started loading up the car! Its always sad to head home after a fun vacation.

    Drove down from Grand Rapids to Gun Lake. Moved into Jim and Jean's cottage at the Lake, in her family forever. Perfect place to recover from jet lag/persistent cough, and get WARM.     ... and all of our belongings, that wasnt an option, so we decided to scrap that plan and head to what was supposed to be our after lunch stop, Oval Beach. It was $7.00 to park but then you could come as you go as you pleased all day. When we arrived there was no one else there, which was shocking and nice all at the same time!
