... the meadow.Returning to camp we were able to ease our achingly muscles in the hot tub and pool complex near the campsite. Heaven! Dinner was cooked by us all and very good it was too washed down by some wine. In the case of others -a lot of wine -so I retired to my sleeping bag sadly not to sleep due to the noise and music but think around one they gave up and peace reigned. ... princess and a scary monster. In Emma's words it helps keep her "motivated" and in our words it keeps her distracted.

Once at the top of the ascent we had a picnic at Emerald Pool where we fought off squirrels, wasps and birds. The trip down was a challenge due to the steepness of the steps and them being covered in dirt, but OK with a few small trips and falls which included Matt landing on his **** (gracefully of course) at one point.

... lunch we visited the giant sequoia trees in Mariposa Grove. We didn't actually know about this before coming to Yosemite so this was a bonus. They transferred us from the tour bus to an open air trolley which was another bumpy ride but it saved us walking around so Daisy's knees appreciated the rest.
