... to get some oyster cards, these are transport cards that you pre load with money. This will make things so much easier for us to get around.

We headed to the stop and we were soon on the bus. The bus was quite full but we managed to find seats at the top. The journey took about 30mins. David had circled places to see on his map and we headed from Trafalgar square to Piccadilly circus. This is a big shopping area and we walked into the massive ...

... St to look at plaques etc. also walked past Madame Tussaud's, long queue of mostly Indian ethnicity (that surprised me). Finally back to hotel for that necessary foot treatment and rest via a local pub for a beer and cider. Nice! We had intended to go to across to Euston food court for tea but decided to go to hotel restaurant instead which was very nice. Back to room and spent an hour sorting our life out and then thankfully went to sleep. Probably around ...

... lunch near the Tower and warmed up a bit, then headed back to Tower Bridge where we could walk across the top spans and watched some interesting videos on its construction and how the bridge lift works. There were 3 lifts last night so we won't get to see any happening. Then we got to look through the steam engine room for one corner of the bridge - not sure if they are still used but there are 2 engines in each corner, 8 in total. Another ...
