... at the end of a distant phone line informs us that the good news is we have a flight to Delhi on the 7th January rebooked for us. Great, the same information from the text message three hours previous!! They also tell us that there are no flights from Delhi to Bangkok available on 7th, 8th or 9th January, but its ok because the Delhi flight is ok and ready to go! I calmly explain we don't want to go to Delhi, we just want to change planes there for Bangkok. We have no Indian visas and ...

... newest one. Once out of the taxi the driver helped us with our bags and then shook Robs hand excitedly and then I thought he was going to give me a kiss goodbye!! I put my hand out and shook his hand also, before he got too close :). We checked into our flight and headed for the lounge, sounds simple but it was not! ... outside as we ate, and watched as the Tower Bridge opened to admit a tall ship. It was so lovely.

After lunch we took a catamaran down the Thames towards Greenwich, heading for the meridian line. It took many diagrams and explanations before the children understood the significance of this line, and I'm not entirely convinced they got it even at the end.

... Paddington while Glenda went back to the hotel. Saw paddington bear. In the evening we caught the train to Piccadilly Circus and walked down to Leicester square where saw 'Magic in the moonlight' a woody Allen film with Colin Firth.
