... of more than another hour of waiting were incorrect and we were in the air after not much more time. The weather, particularly over Iceland, made for a very rough 9-hour flight home, which was compounded by some circling around Dulles to avoid severe thunderstorms.

All that said, once finally on the ground, we had our quickest trip through Immigration and Customs ever at Dulles. Even our bags were some of the first on the belt.

As I was getting ready to leave today, I had the normal pre-flight jitters. The facts and figures of this space craft are amazing and once again Rich done an incredible job of giving us a private tour.
It was wheeled into the hanger in exactly the condition it was in when it landed for the last time. It still had the scuff marks on the tyres from when it landed.

We spent 6 hours in that hanger. A day I will remember fondly for the rest of my life, thanks to ...

This morning John cooks us steak and eggs - over easy, for brunch - so good. Sharon and I go to a lovely pie shop and buy sour cherry pie and lemon meringue pie for dessert tonight. The boys are cleaning their bikes when we come back and then they go for a quick ride on each others bike just to check it out - it's a boy thing.
