We had an 85 mile ride today up Vesuvius, 3 miles of 8 to 17 % grade climbing. 7 of us did it and will sleep well tonight! I sagged in to the 30 mile mark and continued on the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway for 20 miles...glorious and wonderful...beautiful weather and our alter group of 10 did 50 miles of cycling today and feel great. Kudos to the rabbits that ride it ...

Left Nashville and had a pretty bad breakfast experience at Waffle House. After eddies meltdown, we regrouped and made some headway thru most of Virginia. So we will stay a while longer, at least till the weekend when the Canadian F1 is on. In the evenings we make huge bonfires and sit around till late.

Things to do still: catching a fish in the lake and taking the Whaler over to the Chesapeake for a few days and have fun on the water and maybe meeting Coramandel? ...
