... the Herbert Hoover Library, we are headed for Missouri Valley, IA. Weather has been wonderful, and we are hoping that the weather won't turn ugly as we head West.

Looking for good barbecue as we travel, but haven't found much yet. Basically, there are Cracker Barrel restaurants on the highway along the way. We are seeing lots of retired folks with their RV's ---- hey wait - that's what we are!!! Anyway, passing through pretty country. More later. ...

... came out and assisted this old guy. The button was in a normal gas pump type pedistal about 10 feet away from the hose. Who does that ?? I have put fuel in Chrlie from Nawth Caroline ta Sunny Cali, and from Minnesooooootaaaa to Key West and I ain't never seen nuthin like that....Oh well, live and learn.

On a positive note, the fuel cost me $2.45 per...I also heard gun shots as I was pumping the fuel. It was coming from the farm across the ...

... about 3 hours north just off our route so we called them, to see if they could fix us. Yes, except the we headed that way and, en route called our insurance people to seek their help with the windshield. They were great! It won't cost us anything and we can get it fixed in Rochester, MN where we will be for about a week or so.

Spent the afternoon and evening in Davenport, Iowa at the Isle of Capri Riverboat Casino, where Pop and Wayne visited eight years ago. Wayne enjoyed showing me the Riverboat and Casino and reminiscing about the trip with Pop. We even hit two little jackpots... Big Winners West of the Mississippi! Lol he even pointed out certain machines ...
