... have sold their RV and plan to return to Thailand where they will setup a home-base for their continuing 'Goodrich Odyssey”. Their 8-year journey (so far) has been chronicled at their site http://www.travelpod.com/members/goodri chodyssey.

This diversion of catching up with old friends away from home is now over and it is time to move on to our next destination in Southeastern Florida.

... a bird watcher or enjoy hiking the outdoors immersed with the wildlife, I highly recommend Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary and (if you want close encounters with Alligators) the Bird Rookery Swamp Management Area. Our outings to Lovers Key State Park and Calusa Heritage Trail were also very enjoyable.

... campsite had been empty till around 9pm when a huge family arrived and started setting up. I am pretty sure they brought their entire house with them. We found it so strange that people go camping and actually, no joke, bring their microwave, fridge, crock pot and stadium style spot lights with them. What’s the point of camping? We were nervous they were going to be really loud but once we got into the van we stopped hearing them and it was a quiet comfortable ...

... to a restaurant recommended by the hotel. Outdoor dining, Italian food. The 'restaurant' was in fact a landscaped parking lot, with a mobile kitchen hidden in the trees. Remarkable food. What a concept, short term lease on a lot scheduled to become high rise. Drive the kitchen away to the next location. It was packed every night!
