It took a bit longer to get to the beach, but we had enough protection with us to keep us from getting sunburnt. We woke up in front of a misty lake and prepared for the day ahead. It was a beautiful cool morning and the sun was just itching to push through the thin layer of clouds. We had a big hearty breakfast to fuel us and made our way to the Gulf Coast Visitor Center to rent a kayak for the day. After 45 minutes of small talk about the changing environment in the glades I was out, and relieved that tour was done.

Spent the rest of the afternoon driving the remaining hour to our second Holiday Inn Express in two days, living the dream my friends.
