... in the boonies on a very dark night, we easily found The Friendship House on Coontail Road. And the food was delicious. With our bellies full, our sense of adventure satisfied, we returned to the Calliope and settled in for the night.

The Eagle has landed for real! The guys have spotted three Bald Eagles now on their journey. These videos were taken somewhere along the Tombigbee River near Columbus, MS. Too cool!
... floats the boat as the water rises. Different locks raise to different levels. The Bevill locks at Aliceville, AL raised Perla 27 ft. I think Joe said there are a total of 21 locks that Perla will have to go through on it's way ...
