... that tomorrow I can attend the Country Living Fair that's sponsored by "Country Living Magazine."

Our plan is to arrive in Virginia by Sunday. First up, Historic Jamestowne, the actual site of the landing of the first English-speaking settlement in the New World; followed by a visit to Jamestown Settlement, which is a living history museum of the people who lived there.

... dinner. Luckily we stumbled upon Captain Lou's Bar and Grill where I could feed my addiction to fish taco's. Karen had the perch basket and both were great meals in pleasant surroundings as we sat outside on the canal, watching the boats cruise back to their berths.

I can understand why this place is such a popular weekend getaway for Chicagoans.

The rain held off for most of the first show and then, of course, the skies opened up during finale. Some of the crowd made it to their cars in time but most did not so the tent was packed full of people waiting it out. I can't even believe it's August! So much has gone on in the past few weeks that I don't know where to begin! The babies are over 4 months old already (I don't even want to talk about it...), I turned 32 (although I pretend to be 29), the boys rode on their first plane ride to Michigan, we saw family and friends, celebrated Michaele and Rick's 35th wedding anniversary, I slept 7 straight hours which I hadn't done in 6 ...

... of a lighthouse that I can't even get into. The rest of Holland is kind of a tourist trap. And I'm sure it is a whole lot nicer in the spring time when the tulips are in bloom. When I left the lighthouse area, I went to Windmill Island. It was $7.50 to get in. It was okay, a lot of the flowers were dead.
