Hi folks,
We received many emails regarding keeping in touch with us on our journey through Mexico. Currently we are in Zion Illinois for a doctor check up. We have driven to San Antonio from Coeur d' Alene starting out on October 16th. We will be going back to San ...
Today was absolutely beautiful in Springfield; sunny and high 70s. The show only ran to 2:00 so we were able to get on the road pretty quickly. Got home just after 5:00.
Walked around the city a bit more this morning and checked out the State Capital building-very cool.
Just ...
We reached the Entrance to the woods at around 7:45AM. The Welcome center was closed and not due to open till 9:00AM. Rather than wait till then, we decided to strike out with the help of the map I downloaded to my phone. iPhone Rocks! ;-)
The map can be found here. We took the large loop that tracks close to the perimeter.

... say that I'm starting to experience some anxiety and nervousness about leaving. There's always that constant thought in the back of my head of all the dangers that I could possibly encounter, but I'm hoping that also keeps me sharp and aware of my surroundings. Well, that's all I have for now. Pictures will come later of all of my equipment and everything that I'm bringing.

Today was car show day in the Collinsville Convention Center. Fortunately it was all indoors as it rained most of the day. Unfortunately the Gateway Camaro Club couldn't have their outdoor car show, which is always a great gathering as well.

Packing up the car now and we'll be leaving in a couple of minutes. With a lunch stop, we should be arriving in Collinsville, IL ('burb of St. Louis) around 3:30. I'll be filming on the road, so hopefully we see some of the Supercar Reunion peeps on the road.
Catch ya later!

Didn't want to be late so we left at 5am, to catch the 6:15am bus out of Crystal Lake, to arrive at O'hare early for our 10:55am non-stop flight to Shanghai. I believe it is a 14 hour flight. Thanks to Nicole and JT, we are flying to Shanghai in the Business Class. We've been hearing ...
Chicago, Illinois, United States taschek... and having grandma around was a bonus. She was recovering from a back injury and staying with Mom and Dad until she's able to get around by herself. We did some fun things during this stop. The first being a grand tour of the Milwaukee suburbs including names of towns I keep forgetting like Oconomowalk and Mukwanago. Nice towns but ************ounce. Dad has lots of tricks up his sleeve in order to make Wisconsin seem like the best state in the ...
Antioch, Illinois, United States jlisley... the song is roared, more stirringly than any national anthem has ever been sung (and this on a tuesday night in the rain). it is loud because it is earnest; the fans love their team and they love their sport and they love their song. there is no embarrassment, there is no one seated. the cheese-from-a-tap nachos are forgotten. hands are raised. it is the highlight of the night and i wish i knew the words. i wish i wasn't wearing a new Cubs shirt half-ironically, but an old ...
Chicago, Illinois, United States philiadIt was my first time in Chicago. I stayed in my uncle's house in Buffalo Grove (Northwestern suburbs). It was my first month in US and many things felt different than in Europe - malls, need to use car to get anywhere, hamburgers and so on.. I spent some time with my family leaving around Chicago and also searched for a temporary job once my summer social security card arrived. Finding job was really easy - I worked for one week in an ...
