    ... lunch time so we decided we would try to find a "local special" restaurant to eat lunch. Driving we spot a parking lot FULL of cars in front of Hammond's BBQ—so it felt like a safe bet.     ... so it only costs us $15 dollars for the night.

    It should be good sleeping weather tonight since it has been cloudy and rainy all day. I looked at the extended forecast for the Lubbock area and Thursday night is may get down into the high 30s.
