... Auntie Denise's house in Aurora. It was a beautiful drive and we arrived at sunset. There was still some snow on the ground and it was pretty cold. The house was so beautiful like a house in a home magazine and Denise had cooked us the most delicious dinner. Nick was there and Steve and we had a really lovely evening. After catching up with them we were pretty tired from our day travelling so we collapsed into the big comfy beds. Talk to you guys soon.- Grace.
... but being the optimists that we are we pressed on. The roads in Greater Madawaska Township had not been touched (wonder where my tax dollars go), however once reaching the county line to Lanark they had the roads cleared and salted so we felt better, especially in the hills between home and Perth. Once at Perth the roads were fine all we had was on and off again snow ...
... University, but there did not seem to be any parking places that we could find. Then we were going to walk a bit to look for the Moosewood Restaurant. We ended up using the GPS and driving in circles around a street construction area. Finally, we located the Moosewood and had a lovely, extremely filling, British Isles dish called Rumpledethump that Emma had never heard of but suspected might be Scottish and Google confirmed her suspicion.
From Ithaca, I still ...
... town. One park hosted a huge marina with boat launch ramps and scores of berthing spots on dozens of docks. The marina was empty with the exception of one mid-size cabin cruiser and a small deck boat. Clearly, the season is over and everyone has taken their toys and gone home.
