    ... trail and taking some pictures, we took the diversion to the South Rim Trail, which took us to the South entrance of the Park. The south entrance is where the swimming pool is.We had our lunch here, and then started back walking taking the Gorge Trail. We also checked out the stairway to the right at the end of the entrance thinking it might have some views of the lake outside the park but all we really saw was the main parking lot. Continuing on up that staircase takes you to the South Entrance parking lot. I asked a park employee what time you can see rainbows at Rainbow Falls and she said she does a tour from 2- 3:30 and had never seen one but she guessed about 4:00 on a sunny day.
