... We are enjoying the gatherings, there are multiple families having reunions, there are friends from college enjoying a break, there is every combination of grouping. Not many are alone. Obviously it is a place to gather away from everything.

The rest of the morning was spent reading the New York Times that Robert brought with him from the plane. It has been quite awhile since we have had a newspaper of any worth in our hot little hands. Wow, lots of stuff happening and boy did we have discussions.

... down. In many of the gardens pine needles are used and it is quite pretty in its dark warm amber colour. They are also thicker than our northern pines, it is attractive and does the trick. The Azaleas and rhododendrons were first and now we are seeing potentilla which is bright yellow, bridal wreath spiraea, vinca, lots of small white flowers that look like strawberry blossoms and wisteria.
