      ... pickup is at 3:55 am! My plane boards at 6am. And all went well until the plane taxied out to take off, and there we sat. They finally announced that there was a light blinking in the cockpit that should not be. We sat longer and finally taxied back to have it investigated.       ... to watch it from inside our cozy room! Three of our windows leak—it is blowing so hard that snow is coming in!! I covered all that I could with towels and they were socked immediately.       ... computer stuff and am sort of caught up! It was 18 degrees this morning with a wind chill of 7 degrees!! Finally showered and dressed late in the afternoon and will go to Mt Vernon for dinner tonight. A good meal as always, then home to relax.

      Salem, famous for its witch trials of 1692 is only an hour north of Boston, in Essex County. We took the ferry out which was a beautiful journey on a hot sunny morning and took some gorgeous photos of the Boston skyline as we were leaving. The ferry took us along the coastline past loads of big fancy houses and docked in Salem at about 10.30am.

      ... of the Peace presiding. Lots of pictures taken and lots of visiting by all. Later a huge white limo arrived to take the bridal party to the reception, about 12 miles away. There are still working on the bridge on the way so traffic was held up and crept along for about 7 miles. The golf course at Tewksbury was site of the reception and it is very nice. Round tables with white chair covers tied with huge pale pink ribbons make a very festive look. We were at table 1 ...
