It sits on a pretty bluff over the ocean, with barking sea lions and seals and pelicans on the rocks in the ocean below. It's part of the Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, well named. The wind howled last night but we were comfortable – Don was able to sleep once we put the slides in to reduce the noise around midnight! The guy next to us with a 5th wheel unit couldn't get his jacks down to stabilize his unit earlier in the evening because his unit was rocking in the wind! We are heavy enough and positioned with our tail end to the wind so we didn’t have any problems.
