We hit the Avenue of the Giants early and it was like driving into a tunnel. Jst magnificent to see these 2000+ year old tree that have survived so much. Even the fallen ones are awesome to see. So thankfull for the foresight some of our predecessors had to save some of these wonders for us to enjoy. Hope we can preserve something for our grandkids instead of using everything ...

We checked out of the hotel at 11. Drove to the next town on the 101, Brookings and had breakfast at Mattie's Pancakes. This was our first big breakfast stop on the trip and it sure hit the spot. Bottomless coffee, Denver omelette, and pancakes sure were a great way to start the day. We also learned, after seeing two people dressed as pirates walking down the road, that the pirate festival was going on. While tempted ...

The mystery was quickly resolved, as we steered our little Egg onto the windiest, most hair-pinned road I have ever seen. I crept around each corner, and slid off to the side whenever a car came up behind me. Had anyone coming in the opposite direction slipped even a foot across the dividing line, we both would have gone tumbling down steep hillsides in a fiery blaze. These were quite ...

I think I’ve had enough now! Can I get off and come home? Over the last few days I have started to think that I can have too much of a good thing. And then I wonder if this is part of what I have to experience – the total self reliance for entertainment and stimulation that has become ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Sea Rock Inn Mendocino
We spent two nights at the Sea Rock Inn in August 2004. The view from our room was over the cliff on the Pacific Ocean. Stunning. The room was a suite and quite lovely. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very nice and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed the B&B. Incredible views!
It's about 3:00 Sea Rock time, just about the time we would be setting out for the cliff side to watch the sunset, but instead we're back to work Massachusetts time 3:00.
Love this location, very relaxing
I loved the Sea Rock Inn. We stayed in 15B and just adored our room, our look out over our little deck, everything about this place. Wonderful breakfasts too and great coffee. The innkeepers are so nice and helpful! It is in a great location, short hike to town and the Headlands. We enjoyed dinner at Cafe Beaujolais and Sharons by the Sea (great sunset view). We walked out to Pt Cabrillo Lighthouse which was fun. We will definately be back here sometime again soon. I would stay only here in Mendocino. We looked at other locations while we were there just to check them out and this is BY FAR the best spot to stay!
Sea Rock Inn - Worth it!!
I just got back from 7 wonderful days at the Sea Rock Inn. Not only was the ocean view from my bed breathtaking but the service was great also. The towels were so soft I practically lost myself in them. We always had a fresh supply of firewood and the welcoming bottle of wine was a treat.I will return as soon as I can.
Amazing weekend! Just what I needed!
I recently took a 'weekend away' trip with a girlfriend of mine to the Sea Rock Bed and Breafast Inn. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and the amazing weather we lucked out with! The room and the view from it was wonderful and the feather bed was sooooo comfortable. Not only were we very impressed with the appearance and comfort of the rooms, inn and landscape... the staff was very welcoming, assistive and friendly! We will definitely go again!
The ocean in perspective...
Set literally across the street from the ocean, the Sea Rock Inn takes great advantage of the natural beauty around it. The staff is genuinely friendly, the presentation is immaculate, and the sheer craftmanship of (and breathtaking views from) the rooms are just a few qualities that made my stay at the Sea Rock so lovely. It is conveniently located within Mendocino - just a walk to the headlands and downtown.
Guaranteed: you'll love it.
Relaxed and refreshed after our stay at Sea Rock
We arrived to cool temperatures and a warm and inviting cottage. During our stay the weather was more agreeable to the weekend events of whale watching and wine tasting. We loved the views from our deck and the benches on the cliff side. The full moon was beautiful, sparkeling on the ocean waves that could be seen from our cottage at night. We will have these memories to cherrish and look forward to a return visit.
Beautiful place, beautiful view
We came to Sea Rock for the Whale Festival Weekend. The weather was glorious and our stay at Sea Rock Inn was beyond compare. We will surely tell all our friends and relatives.
What a view!
We had a wonderful relaxing vacation from the moment we arrived. The staff was cheerful and informative. The room was spotless and the attention to detail was great. The robes were cozy and the Husch wine was a perfect touch to watch the sun set from our deck. Thank you Sea Rock Inn for a perfect weekend. We'll be back soon!
We spent a week at The Sea Rock for my brother's wedding and I have to say that the Sea Rock Inn made our experience an unbelievable one. The room was beautifully furninshed with gorgeous beds and down comforters, a large porch with a spectacular view. You step right out of yur room and cross the road and have the most amazing view, you are standing on a cliff looking over the ocean. Breakfast every morning was wonderful.
I cvouldn't recommend the Inn anymore. I tell everyone about it, it was by far the most relaxing vacation I have ever had and the Inn was one of the greatest places I have ever stayed.
