Nature's alarm clock started the day with a flock of stellar blue jays right outside our window making plenty of noise. Whale watching was the order of business today. WE JUST LOVE ALASKA
... among the old sea vessels. A lot of boats have huge nets and catch fish that way. He stopped to talk to some fishermen, made it as if he was their long lost buddy and as we left, one of them chased after us down the pier and gave us a 2kilo fillet of King Salmon, so his talking paid off!! We were so thankful, it looked very nice & was SO YUM, as we found out later, when we cooked some!

... on the 3:15am Ferry from Juneau. Alan is an Orthopedic Surgeon in Petersburg and Monica who is a Pediatrician in Juneau is his receptionist here. As we greet another day of relaxation, they both go off to work leaving Jim and I to hike Three Lakes Trail. The trail is gorgeous. ( I might need some new adjectives about now!) 4th July Celebrations and fireworks
... t do such a thing in the uk they laughed when I said I was lucky if I got a sparkler when I was a kid and even then we had adult supervision and wore gloves. They also had two steel tubes that they put fireworks in and launched them out off. Scary. I’m so surprised nobody got hit as the more drunk people got the more fireworks that got let off. Mount Dewy and the Wrangell Narrows
Got up early today and packed as were leaving this afternoon for Petersburg. Plus they start there church service around 10am so we didn't want to be hanging around making noise.
