... to the Northwest and the 3 NP's in Washington and to the Southern part of Texas to complete a bunch of the things on our bucket list.

Sure was good to get home and eat a real breakfast those "FREE" motel breakfasts sure leave a lot to be desired. We did eat some great food and used Trip Adviser Restaurant guide as our way of getting the good ones.

Thanks to all who made comments on the blogs.

... had nothing to do really, I walked in the garden, saw the raspberry bushes, a lovely tree house, a little pond with fish, the lawn where the dogs love to play around... A little paradise!

I so much enjoyed to be part of a family, everybody around the breakfast table in the morning, the funny Corki dogs, the cat that comes to sleep on my bed, and seeing my old friend Phil after so many years.

Tomorrow I take my Amtrak train to Montreal, next visit!

    Campground $30
    Gas $2.39

Very scenic drive through New York State, heading toward the Adirondacks - the trees are very green but with some fall colours just starting. The campsite is rustic and very quiet, not too busy.

Highlights: Downtown Corning, beautiful town with old buildings and pretty parks

Rest stops are labelled "Text Stops" - very clever!

... decided to ruin it all by barking at passersby and causing major soup spillage on Tim and me. We called it a night and packed up dinner to go, bidding Woodstock farewell after our all too brief visit (a cute little town lined with specialty shops and adorable restaurants). We spent the rest of the evening lounging and conversing on the Andirondack chairs out front. A pleasant night despite the dinner ...

... retreat, there's visual inspiration at every turn. We packed up and drove to Tim's second race of the weekend, a 47 mile bike starting again at Windham. I wished him luck as he started his race then left for a nearby coffee shop to take care of a few things for work. Or so I thought. When I arrived at the cafe, I realized that the outdoor table (no doggies allowed inside!) didn't have an outlet and my laptop was out of juice. So I ate my doughnut and sipped my ...
